MTM TT RS

MTM’s latest upgrade for the Audi TTRS offers 472 bhp and according to MTM, has been GPS verified at 312 km/h at test runs at the Nardo highspeed track in September 2010.

Roland Mayer, owner and Head of the technical Department of MTM stated “It’s not decisive what we measure on the dynamometer but how many bhp you get on the road”. The plan is to focus on driving dynamics, acceleration times and maximum speed rather than the search for maximum performance values.

For the MTM TTRS this meant modifications to the control unit, an MTM turbo charger and a complete new exhaust system from turbo. The result is 472 bhp (347 kW) at 7.000 rpm, and a 0-100 km/h time of 3.9 seconds with a top speed of 312 km/h – driven at Nardo on Dunlop Sport Maxx tyres and 20-inch bimoto wheels.

MTM claims that their TTRS with 472 bhp has nothing to fear from the competition of other tuners, who are working towards 300 km/h and a 0-100 km/h time of under 4.0 seconds, despite their higher power gains (30 bhp) over MTM. Despite this assertion, MTM are currently working on a TTRS version that produces over 500 bhp.

The 380 – 472 bhp upgrade costs in the range of 14.500 € incl. tax and installation. The price for the 20-inch bimoto forged rims, 15-inch brakes with eight-piston calipers (front axle) is 9.973 € incl. tax and installation.

We expect that the only thing MTM has to fear is ABT releasing another upgrade that surpasses their existing 500bhp version.
