V-MAXX Releases Audi A5 Coupe Performance Spring Package
Audi’s A5 range has always provided svelte good looks and exciting performance with a palatable price-tag. Suspension maestro V-MAXX has now ensured that the handling of the ’07-on Coupe B8 models have the poise to match the already impressive ‘pose’.
No less than four springs kits are available for the coupe range, catering for all engine variants from the 1.8T right up to the 3.2 FSi and both 2WD and Quattro drivetrains. A further two kits are also available for the Cabrio range and yet another four different packages for the Sportback model too, making the V-MAXX range the most comprehensive and tailored available for the A5 stable. All kits drop the car between 25-35mm depending on the model and powertrain, creating an instantly more aggressive stance and allowing the wheels to really fill the arches. It’s not all about aesthetics of course, with the Audi’s new, lower centre of gravity endowing it with sharper steering responses and much less body roll.
In-keeping with the true ‘everyday’ ethos of the A5, V-MAXX’s engineers have cleverly designed a unique ‘progressive’ wind into the new springs that allows the chassis to ride on a softer, more compliant section during cruising and everyday driving, but to stiffen progressively as speeds increase during hard cornering.
All V-MAXX springs are made of quality chrome silicone steel, shot peened, zinc phosphated, and powder-coated to offer optimum corrosion protection and long life. Most springs are also German TüV approved.
