Improve the driving dynamics of your Audi RS4, RS5 or RS6
KW have completed development of new stainless steel coilover kits for the Audi RS4 / RS5 (B8 Chassis) and the Audi RS6 (4F Chassis) which deliver superior driving dynamics. Depending on the KW coilover variant chosen, it is possible to adjust the damping rebound and compression individually, per coilover. These KW coilover kits will be of special interest to those who need new dampers to replace the original “Audi Sports Suspension Plus” with Dynamic Ride Control. The KW coilover kit comes with the KW suspension module which integrates the coilover kit with the OEM electronic damping regulation of the RS models. The German TÜV tested adjustment range allows a continuous lowering of up to 30mm without any other modifications to the Audi RS4, RS5 or RS6 platform.
The KW coilovers offer perfect driving dynamics for Audi RS4 / RS5 (B8 Chassis) or RS6 (4F Chassis) models fitted with the optional “Audi Sports Suspension Plus” Dynamic Ride Control. This offers a sports suspension setup with the addition of individual lowering. “Our coilovers for Audi models with Dynamic Ride Control always include our electronic suspension module”, explains KW Product Manager Johannes Wacker. “This is a kit that helps the Audi on-board electronics to recognize the KW coilover kit and avoid any fault codes being generated.” This is especially interesting for people who wish to buy a used Audi RS4, RS5 or RS6 which is in need of new OEM dampers. The KW coilover upgrade avoids the cost of replacing the DRC. On RS4, RS5 and RS6 models the Variant 3 coilover allows to individual adjustment of the damper with 16 clicks in rebound and twelve clicks in compression to select your ideal setup for your chosen tyre / wheel combination or road surfaces you encounter. For the RS4 and RS5, the KW Variant 1 is supplied with fixed damping while the KW Variant 2 coilover kit is available with individually adjustable rebound in 16 different positions.
The individual lowering of all KW coilovers is possible via the dirt-resistant KW trapezoid thread and polyamide thread ring with its stainless steel insert. “we utilise a composite material for our spring perches because it is much more resistant to corrosion and dirt than anodized aluminium”, comments Johannes Wacker, KW product manager. The Audi RS6 can be lowered by a TÜV approved 10 – 25mm on the front axle and 15 – 30mm at the rear. The German TÜV-tested adjustment range for the RS4 and RS5 is 15 – 30mm in the front and 10 – 25mm on the rear axle. By installing the KW coilovers, no additional modifications need to be made to the car’s chassis and they integrate perfectly to the vehicle.
