Forge Motorsport Audi S3 (8P) Intercooler

Forge Motorsport has added to their extensive VW Group portfolio by releasing a hugely effective front-mount intercooler upgrade for all 8P models of Audi’s capable S3. The unit offers independently-proven cooling capacity over the stock part – with commensurately impressive power and torque gains.

Extensive testing in Forge’s R&D workshops revealed that an increased 650 x 400 x 50mm core size, with bar and plate construction would yield the very best results. The makes the Forge intercooler significantly bigger overall than the original Audi part too, managing to reduce charge temperatures whilst offering less pressure-loss than even the OEM design! This uprated intercooler replaces the original front mounted intercooler, using the standard factory mounts. Installation can be carried out by anyone with a degree of mechanical sympathy, or by one of Forge’s many approved dealers.

As with all new Forge parts, the unit was sent out externally for independent evaluation. Tests were conducted both on standard cars, as well as tuned vehicles. The Forge intercooler recovered 19- 26 bhp depending of the engine tune with significant reductions in the inlet temperature. Tests on tuned engines naturally netted even greater gains.
