The Audi RS6 Avant is a powerful car in itself, belting out a power of 580 bhp. This enormous power comes from its 5 liter FSI twin-turbo V10 model engine. Choice of upgrade Packages

MTM offers a choice of packages to customers. These are at various levels of tweaking of the car, either in performance or style or both. So what are these packages?

At the entry level package the MTM engineers will massage the electronic engine control unit (ECU) chassis to boost the power output to 656 bhp at 6180 rpm. This gives 76 bhp more than the standard power. The outcome is a torque of 785 Nm-enough to pull a trailer piled with Californian Redwood logs! The car can accelerate at; hold your breath, 0 to 100 kmph in just 3.9 seconds! Now you can boldly park it next to a Ferrari! As an add-on the MTM engineers can electronically regulate the speed in increments of 279, 290 or 310 kmph. This frugal package comes at a price of 3999 Euros.

The advanced package promises more muscle and how? The exhaust system gets a stainless steel makeover with throttle control. Throw in a sports air filter and voila! The power shoots up to 702 bhp! This insane power package is available for just 9950 Euros.

MTM has made some cosmetic changes on the vehicle though these are minor. A front spoiler lip and a rear diffuser both made of carbon fiber are slapped on to make the car look sporty. The braking system is a six piston one, fitted at the front and featuring partially perforated brake disks and monoblock calipers.

The wheels are large, mounted on 21 inches MTM bimoto wheel rims and available in diamond or shiny finish. MTM also offers a 20 inches forged alloy wheel rims which it claims are lighter in weight. This light weight translates to better agility and braking of the station wagon on road.

MTM offers the entire suite which includes both the entry level and advanced packages for a price starting from 15500 Euros.

Conclusion

MTM comes up with a decent upgrade of an already powerful Audi car. The powered up engine (702 bhp and 785 Nm), reliable braking system, modified breathing, exhaust and suspension systems, and shining wheels make it a good buy. This sort of tuning can make this car pull like a truck or race like an F1.

The Audi RS6 from MFK hides the enormous power behind a harmonious series outfit. Huge spoiler and Airbrush finishing you do not get from MFK. Through big vents on the left and right side in the front the athlete sucks enough air for the optimized gearing. After a software change through MFK there are 520 hp at the RS6 command.

The aluminium rims from Schmidt Revolution are called CC-Line "Satin Black". The 3-part rims are size 10,5x20" and have been equipped with extremely big tires. MFK decided for high performance tires from Dunlop size 285/25-20. The wheelset guaranties secure running characteristics at high speed. The main point consists in the increased performance of the 5.0 litre V10 Biturbo aggregate. For that purpose the Swiss specialists exchange the original catalysts by high-performance catalysts with higher flow rate.

As an option the originally installed exhaust system can be substituted by a Sportec high-performance exhaust system with four ø76mm tail pipes and sportive sound. Hereafter the new components of the vehicle are tuned in the Sportec 4-wheel test rig. In combination with the new programming of the engine control unit the RS6 reaches a maximum output of more than 700 HP. The torque increases up to fulminate 800 NM. As a result the 4-wheel limousine sprints to tempo 100 in 4.0 seconds, 200 km/h are achieved after only 12.0 seconds and then reaches the electronically regulated maximum speed of more than 310 km/h.

In order to keep so much power safely on the ground, Sportec offers a lowering set which lowers the body by 30 millimetres perfectly harmonized with the electronic chassis.

This breathtaking demonstration of engine force is transferred to the 265/30 tyres which are mounted on special light 22 inches Sportec Mono/10 rims. The engine tuning of both cars is accomplished with nothing more than a special OBD port hookup and some intake and exhaust components. The end results are considerably faster than their stock counterparts, however. The R8 gains 26hp (19kW) for a total of 446hp (332kW), cutting the 0-124mph (200km/h) acceleration time by 1.5 seconds. Gains come by way of a refined exhaust system that optimizes back-pressure and tunes for sound as well. No appearance modifications were made: the car is untouched, right down to the factory wheels.

Factory ride comfort is maintained through the various choices of the DRC settings. Owners will notice an increase in road handling capabilities with the KW spring set. This will be more apparent through sweeping corners and twisty roads, providing a sportier feel over the factory model.

The KW Audi RS6 spring set is a lowering solution which utilizes a main spring, helper spring, threaded collar and spring perch – comparable to a coil over kit to adjust the vehicle height on the front shocks. In the rear, a main spring, threaded spacer and spring perch allow for the separate spring setup to be adjusted. The front axis can be lowered by 10-40 mm, the rear axis by 15-45 mm.

This system can be used to lower factory height vehicles without having to de-activate the optional electronic DRC.
