Audi R8 V10 Spyder by STaSIS Engineering

The Smoking Tire hits the canyons with one of the fastest Audi’s on the road: Stasis Engineering’s Supercharged R8 5.2 FSI. Matt Farah wrings out the red Spyder on an empty canyon road, proving that no amount of horsepower is ever too much.

The American tuner adds its own supercharger to the 5.2 liter V10 power plant for a total output of 710 PS (700 bhp / 522 kW) – up substantially from the series’ 525 PS (518 bhp / 386 kW). Torque is also bumped up by a resounding 140 lb-ft (190 Nm). That makes the R8 Spyder now do the 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) sprint in 3.1 seconds compared to the standard model’s 3.7.

STaSIS Engineering also does some upgrading of the suspension with improved dampers and springs and fits the R8 V10 Spyder with larger wheels.
