Audi R8 by Garage ILL
Probably you have already seen some images of this one-of-a-kind Audi R8 from Japan. This project was designed by Garage ILL, a company based in Osaka. Akira San, the owner and head designer of Garage ILL, with two other staff members, took three months to completely transform this car into what you see today.
Instead of going with the bolt on overfenders style that become so popular with Liberty Walk kits, Garage ILL wanted to create something that was truly unique. Something that the World has never seen before. Something that was one-of-a-kind…
Almost every external panel of the was modified. New front bumper, front lip spoiler, front and rear fenders, side steps, canards, side panes, rear bumper and diffuser. But the most controversial thing about this car is the massive spoiler. You won’t see anything similar on another car! Once the aero parts were built, they were also all painted, along with the car, in house as well.
Other modifications include the beautiful 19” Work Wheels wrapped in Nitto Tires 275/30 R19 at the front and 345/30 at the rear. A KW HLS hydraulic coilover system was also used and helps to slam it and give it that aggressive stance.
The exhaust was also changed by a Kreissieg exhaust system, that not only looks stunning coming out of the custom rear bumper, but delivers a powerful sound.
The interior of the Audi R8 by Garage ILL is in a controversial pink and has lots of carbon parts. Similar to the exterior, lots of interior parts were hand built in house, the wet carbon fiber parts too.
What are your thoughts on this build?
