STaSIS Engineering has unveiled the new Audi R8 Challenge Extreme Edition.
Designed to deliver "pure driving adrenaline," the model features an Eaton supercharger, a revised ECU and a stainless steel sport exhaust system. Thanks to these tweaks, the 4.2-liter V8 engine produces 540 hp (403 kW / 548 PS) and 435 lb-ft (589 Nm) of torque - an increase of 120 hp (89 kW / 122 PS) and 85 lb-ft (115 Nm). This enables the 1,575 kg (3,472 lb) supercar to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds which is 0.8 seconds faster than the standard model.
Besides the engine upgrades, the Challenge Extreme also has lower springs, Alcon brakes and 20-inch aluminum wheels with high performance tires.
